Hello, welcome to my tea blog. I’m Carole Kurowski. I’m British and I’ve been a tea drinker for as long as I can remember - typically “builder’s tea”, black, strong, with milk.
However, since moving to Shanghai, China in 2009 I have been on a fantastic journey of tea discovery. Alongside my beloved English Breakfast you’ll now also find a variety of whites, greens, oolongs, blacks and puers.
In 2012 my passion became my profession when I joined Twinings as Brand Ambassador for Greater China. I’ve been very fortunate to have worked with some of the most knowledgeable people in the tea industry, as well as visiting tea gardens and estates in China, Sri Lanka and India.
After 6 and a half years in China I moved to Helsinki in the summer of 2015. From the homeland of tea to a nation of coffee addicts! Now to check out the burgeoning Helsinki tea scene...
I started this blog as a way of keeping track of my tea adventures and to share my love of this fascinating beverage. I hope it’s also a source of information and interest to my fellow tea lovers. Happy tea drinking and happy reading!
